The Communities for a Clean Bill of Health, a collection of health care advocacy groups fighting for a cigarette tax hike in Mississippi, appears to have succeeded in achieving a 50 cent per pack hike as legislative conferees have announced an agreement. We’ve worked since 2005 for the Coalition, making 317,263 phone calls to every corner of the state reminding voters about this important first step toward healthy living in Mississippi.
