Last night  in the heart of the Blue Grass region Democrat Terry Mills won  a special election in HD 24. This first time candidate overcame the odds to win in a district where President Obama had been crushed in 2008.

We are proud to report that Zata|3 played a small role in the victory--targeted persuasion and GOTV calls, including two last minute rounds of  calls on Tuesday into key precincts with low turnout through the noon hour.

But the lion's share of the credit goes to candidate himself and  his campaign team  who refused to allow this race to become “nationalized.   Our friend Dale Emmons, was chief strategist on this race, and made sure the stump speeches were about jobs not GITMO, DADT or Cap and Trade.

The KY HD 24   victory confirms that a quality, hard working candidate, a sincere message that resonates with voters, and a targeted GOTV effort can produce victory even in these difficult times.  Congratulations to State Representative Terry Mills.
