Zata|3 salutes our friends in Essex County who went 3 for 3 yesterday in municipal elections. Robert Parisi won a nail-biter with a 1.7% margin to become Mayor–elect of West Orange. And in the race for two slots on the West Orange council, Susan McCartney retained her seat while Victor Cirilo was elected to a first term. The pair beat out four other challengers. Hats off to these progressives who withstood the challenge from Far Right that is surging in the Garden State.
