partner hunting expeditions

chad huntingOn Friday, January 7th both  Zata3 partners trekked to the wilds for a midwinter hunt.  Brad Chism was in Rankin County Mississippi deer hunting and Chad Gosselink was in rural southern  Pennsylvania for a goose hunt.   Brad was fortunate to harvest a nice deer for the meat locker and Chad spent a bone chilling day in the blind without the first flyover.   Both returned to the office today having been energized by fresh air and amazing scenery.

Brad, a serious hunter by some accounts, is known to others as a Cabella’s poser, as he is seldom found in the deer stand without at least one book and his earphones for podcasts. Among his favorites are  the Personal Democracy Forum, Slate Political Gabfest,  Post Politcs Podcasts and the audio rebroadcasts of the Sunday morning talk shows.   While in the woods this winter Brad  finished Plouff’s account of the Obama Campaign (Audacity to Win) and got halfway through Too Big To Fail before the cold weather forced him to seek shelter.  Alas Chism has found The Death of Adam, a collection of essays by “modern thinker “ Marylynne Robinson  to be too much for a casual read over a wheat field.
