This past weekend, as Charles headed to Little Rock, AR for the JJ dinner, the Jackson office stayed in town for the MS Jefferson Jackson Hamer Dinner.  The speaker in Mississippi, James Carville, set the stage with powerful remarks, followed by the democratic nominees for various statewide positions.

Senator Ben Nelson reached out via telephone town hall to his constituents Tuesday night.  Senator Nelson talked to over 10,000 Nebraska residents, listening and answering questions in a lively debate on Medicare.

Did you know multitasking takes twice the time to get things done?  That said, on average, people switch windows on a computer 37 times an hour.  John Davies spoke at the C&E Conference last week on the art of crafting and delivering a persuasive message.  Effective, efficient communication starts by living in the present.  Davies' advice?  Give your full attention to one thing at a time, and you'll inevitably do a better job.

two summer interns in jackson office

Daniel Harden and William Chism have joined the MS team to work through the August Democratic primaries.  Daniel is a junior political science major at Ole Miss where he is active in the Obama 2012 volunteer network.  William will be a freshman at Yale this fall.  Both young men are currently conducting research on behalf of our state legislative and local government clients and will be involved later in the summer with other projects outside Mississippi.
